Who doesn’t love a good before and after picture? We sure do! And sometimes, we like to gather the best before and after pictures to inspire the next remodel project that we’re working on.

If you’re looking for some inspiration or just an opportunity to see some new ideas, we’ve got you covered. Not all of these pictures are of bathrooms that have been remodeled by Homeworx, but we’ll gladly help you create a one-of-a-kind bathroom you’ll love.

Small Bathrooms and Guest Bath Makeovers

Small bathrooms and guest baths are often the most overlooked when it comes to home updates. But, giving one a quick makeover, even if it’s just paint and a new mirror added, makes all the difference

There’s also a huge increase in the value of your home when you choose to remodel and update a bathroom like this. The ROI for remodeling bathrooms is upwards of 70%.

1) Old and Worn / Fresh and Modern

Over time your bathroom is going to wear out or become dated both from use and a change in style and available upgrades credited to modern construction. That’s exactly what we have with our first example. This bathroom has seen better days, but that didn’t stop the homeowners from finding ways to upgrade it.

Fresh paint, tile, and a new vanity truly brought this bathroom to life. We love the way they incorporated modern flair in this simple bath.

2) Pink and Yellow / Soft Blues and Wood

Oh, the pink color of days gone by. They say what goes around comes around, and when considering pink tile, it’s similarly true. Many homeowners have started to opt for this pink tile in new remodels or older homes.

However, this homeowner chose to take it out and add sky blue tile that really compliments all of the natural light and gives the room a very clean and modern look. This design might seem busy to some, but that’s the joy of getting to decorate however you want to.

3) Simple Small Bathroom Updates

Small bathrooms can be hard to determine the best way to design them well. Sometimes it can be stifling to see these bathrooms and try to think of ways that they can be remodeled or renovated to be made new.

While being a difficult project to get started on, they are great to work on when it comes time. Because most of the plumbing and fixtures will remain in place, these bathrooms aren’t too difficult to update quickly. The example below shows how much a different vanity, floor, and shower tile can make a difference.

Master Bathroom Redesigns

A home’s master bathroom is often something that gets neglected throughout the years. Because it’s a space that’s rarely seen by family or guests, a homeowner might consider it “good enough.” But instead of settling, there might be several ways that installing a new bathroom for your home could breathe life and fresh air into your home.

And, as a homeowner, don’t feel bad when you decide to treat yourself with a bathroom makeover.

4) Bright Red Wallpaper / Modern Classy Relaxation

This before and after is one of our favorites. This bathroom was very outdated and in dire need of an update. Let’s just say that red wallpaper doesn’t exactly provide a relaxing feeling. The homeowners decided to go all out with their redesign.

A new vanity was added with an additional sink, new flooring, tile for the shower, and decor. Each of these updates is fairly simple and won’t break the bank. If your bathroom has you feeling stressed out, then gather inspiration from this bathroom.

5) Dated Jacuzzi Tub / Clean Shower and Free Standing Tub

When you look at this bathroom, we can see how you might wonder, “what’s wrong with that bathroom?” In this case, it’s not so much that there is a problem, just a difference in perspective. The homeowner wanted to lighten up the bathroom a create a more welcoming space.

They were able to do exactly that by adding fresh tile and removing the jacuzzi tub. A free-standing tub helps to make the room feel larger without sacrificing too much space or taking away from the rest of the bathroom’s openness.

6) Rethink What You Need in a Bathroom

What do you really need in a bathroom? That’s the question these homeowners asked during their bathroom redesign. to Pin

By removing the tub and opting for a large walk-in shower, they were able to make their bathroom feel much more spacious. If you have a smaller bathroom, this could be a great way to get more out of your space. Ultimately whether or not you want a tub will be up to whether you use it. Some people regularly take baths, so removing something like that from the design wouldn’t be wise. Consider looking at what you might not need in your bathroom to provide some extra space.

7) More Glass and Fewer Walls

If you want to get a lot out of your bathroom and open up the space a bit, then you need to talk to your design firm about removing unnecessary walls. Glass opens up homes in a whole new way and helps to provide you with a room that feels so much larger. The below picture is the perfect example.

You can expect that a project like this is going to be slightly more expensive. But don’t let that scare you too much. A new free-standing bathtub along with new tile in the shower will allow you to fall back in love with your bathroom.

8) Fresh Colors and Cabinets

When you’re working with a small or more challenged bathroom design like this one, you’ll be pressed to think outside the box. Thankfully the space was well laid out, in this case, to easily fit a four-piece bathroom.

This renovation also allowed the homeowner to save money by leaving plumbing and electrical in place. Paint, new tile, and new hardware throughout the bathroom really brightened things up for the homeowner.

9) Fresh Paint and New Decor Make All the Difference

You might think your bathroom looks good the way it is, and it probably does. But these before and after images will give you a good idea of how big a difference paint, decor, and some tasteful touches can make. Sometimes all your bathroom needs is TLC.

This bathroom, for example, kept even the same vanity in place and it looks fabulous. If your bathroom needs a facelift, then you’re in luck because that’s one of the fastest and most cost-effective ways to create a beautiful bathroom.

10) Dated and Aged / Contemporary Masterpiece

This before and after is a great example of how you can take an older home and turn it into something much more modern. It’s not always easy, but it is possible with the help of a good design team.

In these pictures, you can see how they took several of the concepts that we’ve shown throughout this post and combined them to make the ideal master bathroom space.

The full-size mirror that gives off an inception effect is a great thing to have removed in this case. The new stone wall and white-on-black effect make the new bathroom look absolutely massive. It’s the perfect thing for this type of room.
