Focus on Fixtures

If you’re pretty happy with the overall look of your bathroom, but just want to give it a splash of something interesting or luxurious, take a look at your fixtures. Incorporating new faucets to your sinks in trendy finishes like rubbed bronze can add a subtle pop of something interesting to an otherwise standard bath or powder room. Additionally these upgrades are usually under $150, so there a great, low impact project.

Another fixture you might want to focus on is your shower head. If you’re looking for that luxury feel without the luxury price tag, this is a great way to do it. Rainfall shower heads offer that slightly more high-end shower experience, but the cost for the equipment alone can actually be fairly reasonable. With that said, the installation for a traditional rainfall shower head can be significantly more expensive, so you may want to opt for a shower head attachment that doesn’t require running a new water line.

The Power of Paint

You would be amazed what a can of paint can do to transform a space. If you’re happy with most of the functional aspects of your bathroom like the vanity, shower and/or bathtub, a paint job can be the perfect way to upgrade the space without breaking your budget.

That being said, if your not all that excited about paint alone, it might be the perfect opportunity to consider a wall treatment. Trend-lead wall treatments like wainscoting and shiplap have been everywhere over the last few years and are definitely going to be sticking around for the years to come. Plus, if you already love the look of traditional or rustic looking decor, these shiplap can make the perfect compliment to your existing style.

Stunning Stains

Finally, it’s time to talk about your vanity. If the cabinetry in your bathroom is starting to look a bit dated, but you don’t want to spend a ton of money on a customized storage space, we have a solution for you!

Many of us have outgrown the natural wood look from decades past, so using a latex or chalk paint to refresh your existing vanity is an extremely effective way to upgrade the space. You can opt for a more trend-lead stain with a muted gray tone, or keep things classic with a darker brown or white.

The best news about all of these ideas is that they cost a fraction of what you’d need to do a complete remodel. This way, you can get the most for your money, and still see a significant change in the look and feel of your bathroom.
